I was really bummed out this week because I started to see some swelling in my right knee. I had ACL, MCL, and meniscus surgery when I was young and dealing with any knee problems scares me. I didn’t have any pain or any limitation in motion, but any form of swelling can’t be good. Thankfully after a couple of days of resting paired with some alternating icing and heat seems to have done the trick.
The good news is that after the rest and taking care of myself I was able to go out and set a new personal best for quickest mile and longest run. I ordered a knee brace that came today and will most likely be running with the compression sleeve moving forward until I do some stretches and light strength training for my knee.
